Description
The Quantum P, built by Quantum Analysis in Germany, is a versatile, compact, high-precision flow cytometer. The CyPAD software that operates the Quantum P is designed for easy manual or automated analysis of suspensions of cells, nuclei and other particles. CyPAD software is easily configured to display, gate and analyze the data from a wide range of applications including ploidy analysis, genome sizing, immunophenotyping and most other flow cytometric applications. The German-engineered design of the Quantum P is solid and yet simple, resulting in a robust instrument that runs sample after sample, day after day, year after year with minimal maintenance. The mean time to failure of the Quantum P is greater the one year, which is unheard of among flow cytometers, which normally breakdown every few weeks or, at best, every few months.
The Quantum P (Blue laser, 3P) has a 150 mW, 488nm blue laser for optimal excitation of 488 nm-excitable dyes such as FITC, PI, PE and many other dyes. This Quantum P has three wide dynamic range photomultiplier tubes (PMTs) for producing high resolution measurements over a wide range of fluorescence intensities. The typical configuration of the 3-parameter Quantum P includes optics for detecting forward light scatter, side light scatter and one color of fluorescence. Since Quantum P is a volumetric flow cytometer, it produces accurate cell counts.
